"Origins: Life and the Universe" - Symphonic multimedia concert on 7 November

Come join us for an exciting, unique concert in Benaroya Hall (home of the Seattle Symphony) at 2 pm on Saturday, 7 November. A 40-piece symphonic ensemble (many of whom are Seattle Symphony members) will premiere eight compositions, written just for this performance, AND the music will be accompanied by coordinated large-screen visuals from computer simulations, NASA missions, Hubble Space Telescope, etc. The themes of the compositions are different aspects of astrobiology, cosmology and astronomy. For two-minute samples of each, click here.

The concert is a benefit for the UW Astrobiology Program and Astronomy Department and has been made possible by a generous donation from Dr. Glenna Burmer. Further details of this amazing combination of science and music can be found at http://artsci.washington.edu/news/2015-09/universe-music-and-images and http://www.astrobioconcert.com .

Tickets can be bought at 866-833-4747 or online here
